Grill your launch before your customers do.

Find the thing that will kill your launch on day one — and the change to make before you ship. Paste your landing page and your launch post; a critic that has read ten thousand indie launches reads them cold.

For solo founders and tiny teams shipping a landing page and a Show HN, Product Hunt, X or Reddit post in the same week — with nobody blunt enough to read it first.

What comes back

Illustrative. The real thing, run on this very page, is further down.

A score you can argue with

Five axes — Clarity, Audience, Offer, Proof, Launch post — each scored against written tests, not a feeling. Every point traces back to something on your page.

“The page sells a feature to everyone; nobody who lands here knows whether it is for them.”

A verdict in one line

Twenty words, no softening clause. The line you will either screenshot or fix.

fatal Offer

“Paid plans also available.”

A visitor ready to pay cannot find what it costs, so they bookmark it and never come back.

Findings that end in a change

Ranked by what each one costs you on launch day. Each quotes your page and ends in something you can do this afternoon.

We grilled this page

Our own landing page, through our own critic. Public, like every grill unless its owner says otherwise.

LaunchGrill
The page demonstrates its own product by failing its own rubric — no audience named, no pricing for the free tier, proof that is the product itself.

  1. 1. fatalAdd one line under the subhead naming the buyer in their own words, e.g. 'For solo founders and small teams shipping a landing page and a Show HN / Product Hunt / X post in the same week.'
  2. 2. costlyReplace the single Real Grill block with a two-column comparison: Free (3/month, AI-only, five axes) vs Real Grill ($149, human review, +4 axes, video, 48h). State explicitly what the free tier stops doing after three uses.
  3. 3. costlyAdd one concrete reason to act now — e.g. 'First 50 Real Grills at $99 while the rubric is being calibrated' or 'Free grills reset on the 1st of each month, so use them before your launch week.'

How it works

  1. 01

    Paste the launch

Your landing page URL. Optionally the Show HN, Product Hunt, X or Reddit post exactly as you would publish it — that is the part nobody else grills.

  2. 02

    A stranger reads it cold

We render the page like a first-time visitor on a laptop, fold included, and grill it against a written rubric. About a minute.

  3. 03

    Fix, re-grill, ship

Every finding ends in a change. Make the changes, grill again, watch the number move. Then launch.

Not a cheerleader. Not a copy polisher.

You’re a solo founder, the launch is next week, and the only feedback you have is from people who want you to feel good. The feedback that would have saved it exists — it just arrives after the one shot is spent.

Questions

Is this just ChatGPT with a prompt?
Judge it by the output. Every finding quotes your page, every score follows from written tests you can read, and the verdict has to be true from the page alone. If a line could not be checked by a third party, it is cut.
Why is my grill public?
Because a score nobody can see helps nobody. Grills are public by default; you can make yours private with one click, and if someone grilled your page, the footer link lets you take it down immediately.
What does it need?
A public URL. It renders the page like a visitor would, screenshot and all. Pages behind a login or a bot wall get a text-only read, and the grill says so.
What will it not do?
Comment on you, your team, or your English. Rewrite your page. Be nice about it.
